Transnational Business Governance Interactions
Graduate Student Research Retreat

Buffalo Workshop 2014 | Baldy Center for Law & Social Policy | November 1-2, 2014

In this two-day retreat, seven masters and doctoral students from Osgoode Hall Law School and the University of Freiburg met with Professor Margaret Shannon (University Freiburg) and TBGI project leaders Stepan Wood and Errol Meidinger to present and discuss empirical case studies applying the TBGI analytical framework. Each student prepared a summary in a uniform format to enable comparison. The case studies examine transnational business governance interactions in the fields of overseas development aid, private military companies, hydraulic fracturing, children’s online privacy, and forestry (FLEGT, REDD+ and the EU Timber Regulation).
